scalp micropigmentation

SMP, or a Hair Tattoo, is great for bald men wanting to recreate their hairline and give the appearance of a fresh shaven appearance. It is also becoming popular with men and women who want to fill out or thicken hairlines.

SMP is a process that uses a special cosmetic scalp pigment. It is a pain free process as the tattoo needle only penetrates the upper layers of the dermis. This creates thousands of tiny dots and when designed by a visual artist it not only restores the hairline but also creates a fresh fade looking haircut.

Our Qualified Fine Artist (since 1995) is Australia's most qualified artist. He has had his work published world-wide and also does Laser Tattoo Removal and Paramedical Scar Revision.

We are able to revise old SMP work and also remove previous work that may have been done incorrectly.

What is Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP)

SMP for Women

Scalp Micropigmentation is a very discreet and pain free way to thicken the appearance of your hair.

How this works is that the tiny micro-dots replicate hair follicles and they change the colour of the white scalp, creating little dots.

This coverage thickens the look of the hair and rebuilds a fuller look for the front line and temples.

The treatment can extend into the part areas and crown, even down the sides as seen in the photo of our client on the right.

Judith had a 5 hour tattoo session when this photo was taken and we took the photo half way through at the 2.5 hour stage so that you can clearly see the impact SMP can have.

AFTERCARE FOR SMP

Aftercare for Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) is a critical component of the process, ensuring the longevity and appearance of your new look. At our clinic, we emphasize the importance of following our aftercare guidelines closely, as they are designed to optimize healing, prevent infection, and maintain the pigmentation's integrity. This is why we take aftercare seriously, treating it as an integral part of your SMP journey.

Immediately following your SMP session, it's crucial to keep the treated area clean, dry, and protected from direct sunlight. For the first few days, avoid washing or shaving the scalp to allow the skin to heal and the pigment to settle properly. We also recommend avoiding heavy sweating, swimming, and steam rooms for at least a week to prevent any fading or diffusion of the pigment.

Proper aftercare also includes applying a moisturizer or healing ointment as advised by your SMP technician. This helps to soothe the scalp and keep the skin hydrated, which is essential for a smooth healing process.

Adhering to these aftercare instructions not only ensures the best possible results but also maximizes the longevity of your SMP treatment. Our commitment to aftercare reflects our dedication to providing you with a seamless, satisfying experience from start to finish, guaranteeing that your investment in SMP yields the most outstanding outcome.
